How it works

  • Step 1: Define the role

    Two ways in, depending on how clearly you already see the problem.


    Track A — The Shadow. 

    Most owners know they're drowning but can't name exactly where the hours go. So we observe. Two days alongside you or your team, documenting the real work: what gets done, how often, how long it takes, what breaks. You receive a written Role Spec — a task inventory with observed time baselines, a recommendation on what should and should not be automated, and a build plan.


    The Role Spec is yours whether or not you continue.


    Track B — Role Confirmation. Already know exactly what you want off your plate? A 90-minute scoping session and a written Role Spec, delivered in three business days.

  • Step 2: Build & Deploy

    We build the agent, connect it to the tools you already use, load your company knowledge, and set the approval gates that decide what it can do on its own and what needs your sign-off.


    Then we test it against real work from your business — not a demo — until the output is something you'd have accepted from a person.


    Typically two to three weeks from signed Role Spec to live. You're not involved in the build. You're involved at the start, when we agree the scope, and at the end, when you sign off on what it produces.

  • Step 3: Managed Operation

    This is the part that matters.


    You get a shared channel — in Slack or Microsoft Teams, whichever you already use — with you, your agent, and us in it. You watch how we direct the agent. We watch what you ask for, catch the instructions that aren't landing, and turn your recurring requests into permanent workflows.


    Every month includes a review call. Every week includes a report.

  • Step 4: Deepen the role

    We don't sell you a second agent until the first one has earned it. Roles get broader, not more numerous.

Infrastructure

Billed at cost plus 25%, itemized on every invoice. Typically $40–150/month depending on workload. We never bury infrastructure inside the retainer, and we never eat it — you always see exactly what the agent costs to run.

What we don't sell

Install-only. We will build and hand off an unmanaged agent for $10,000, and we'll try to talk you out of it. Unmanaged agents are abandoned agents. We'd rather not have that in the world with our name on it.

The 90-Day Checkpoint


Every managed engagement has a formal decision point at day 90.

At that meeting we review the ledger together.


If the agent is earning its keep, we continue. If it isn't, you can end the engagement with no penalty and no further obligation — and you keep the Role Spec and every piece of documentation we produced.


We include this because the most common failure in this industry isn't a broken agent. It's a working agent nobody uses. A hard checkpoint surfaces that in month one instead of month twelve.
