Developing a Mature AI Augmented Workforce.
Augment AI builds and manages AI agents for businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. We are based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and we handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Privacy Policy
Who we are
Augment AI Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada jason@augmentai.ca
Jason Locke is our Privacy Officer and is accountable for the information described here. Reach him at the address above.
What we collect
From visitors to this website. If you submit a form, we collect the name, email address, business name, and any message you provide. Our host collects standard server logs including IP address, browser type, and pages visited.
From clients. To build and operate an AI agent, we require access to the specific business systems that agent's role requires — which may include email, document storage, spreadsheets, accounting software, or a CRM. The scope is defined in writing before any access is granted, and is limited to what the role requires.
From our own social media accounts. We operate Augment AI's Facebook Page and Instagram account using software we built. That software accesses only our own accounts. It reads comments and messages sent to us, and publishes our own content. We do not access, collect, or process data from any other person's or business's social media account.
We do not buy personal information from data brokers, use tracking pixels for advertising, or run third-party advertising networks on this site.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry
- To deliver the services you have engaged us for
- To operate, monitor, and repair agents we manage for you
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We do not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
How we handle client business data
This is the part that matters most, so we will be specific.
Least privilege. An agent receives access only to the systems its written role requires, and nothing beyond that.
It stays in your systems. Agents read from and write to the tools you already use. We do not create a shadow copy of your business data on our infrastructure.
No training. We do not use your business data to train any AI model. Where we use third-party AI providers, we use their business or API tiers, under which submitted data is not used for model training.
Audit logging. Every action an agent takes is logged. You can request the log for your engagement at any time.
Human approval gates. Consequential actions — sending email, moving money, deleting records — require a human to approve them. These are defined in writing before deployment.
Offboarding. When an engagement ends, we revoke our access, rotate any credentials we held, and delete the working copies of your data in our possession within thirty days. Records we are legally required to retain (invoices, contracts) are kept for the period the law requires.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not share it except with service providers who help us operate — hosting, email delivery, accounting, and AI model providers — each of whom receives only what they need to perform their function. We may disclose information where required by law.
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored in another country is subject to that country's laws, including lawful access by its authorities.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become engagements: two years. Client records: for the life of the engagement plus seven years, as required for tax purposes. Server logs: ninety days.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it. Email jason@augmentai.ca. We respond within thirty days at no charge.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Security
We use encrypted connections, credential managers rather than stored plaintext secrets, access controls limited to what each role requires, and audit logging on agent actions. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner as PIPEDA requires.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies necessary to make it function. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes
We will post any change here and update the date at the top. Material changes affecting clients will be sent by email.

Data Deletion
Last updated: August 16 2026
If you interacted with us on Facebook or Instagram
We operate the Augment AI Facebook Page and Instagram account. If you have commented on our posts or sent us a message, we may hold a record of that interaction.
To have it deleted, email jason@augmentai.ca with the subject line Data Deletion Request and tell us the platform and the account handle you used. We will confirm within seven days and complete the deletion within thirty.
You can also delete your own comments and messages directly on the platform at any time. Removing Augment AI's access from Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites stops any further data flow.
If you contacted us through this website
Email jason@augmentai.ca with the subject line Data Deletion Request and the email address you used. We will delete your enquiry and any related correspondence within thirty days.
If you are or were a client
Your written agreement governs deletion of your business data. Our standard practice on termination: access revoked and credentials rotated within one business day, working copies of your data deleted within thirty days. Records we must retain by law — invoices, signed agreements — are kept for the required period and nothing longer.
To make a request outside an active engagement, email jason@augmentai.ca.
What we cannot delete
Records we are legally required to keep, principally financial records retained for tax purposes. We will tell you specifically what is being retained and why.
